BREAK EVERY YOKE: Christian Help for Halfway
Houses and the Homeless

The message of this book addresses the lovingkindness of God, the challenges of reentry for the former prisoner, and the brokenness of the inner city.

Compassion for others emanates from God.   He came to us in person, seeking and saving the lost, encouraging all of us to care for the poor and those in bondage, living under a yoke of oppression.

Bonds of wickedness and heavy burdens can be seen in many walks of life. They represent the front lines of Christian ministry. The Christian walk in life, being in fellowship with God through faith in Jesus Christ – is the best form of rehabilitation, the best means of recovery, the best way to rebuild your life on planet Earth. Whether your faith in Jesus Christ is a tiny spark or a bright flame, consider being an extension of the merciful lovingkindness of our Lord, and Break Every Yoke.

REBUILDING YOUR LIFE:
12 Benefits
of Christian Redemption

This book is a teaching program meant for the sake of the reader and anyone they would help.  The 14 sessions include action plans and discussion questions for individual consideration or for groups. The book/program can be useful as either a supplement or as an alternative to 12 step programs.

Many people are struggling to overcome obstacles, which may include addiction, poverty, homelessness, prison time, depression, or brokenness.  Each of the Benefits of the 14-session program is accompanied by an Action Plan with practical suggestions for living an abundant life.  Hopefully, you will not only find encouragement for yourself, but be motivated to share these “reasons to love the Lord” with others in homeless outreach locations, recovery centers, sober living homes, halfway houses, or through your own personal ministry – anywhere there are people struggling with the need to rebuild their lives.

Reviews

Break Every Yoke

“Biblically based and well written. Tim Lanigan speaks from his own experiences, as well as incorporating the collective insights of numerous ministry leaders in the field. It increased my awareness of the connection between reentry and homelessness.”

Rebuilding Your Life

“Tim’s Book is a well-structured and detailed expression of a Christian faith-centered approach to recovery and redemption.  The versatility of the book’s lessons and structure are well suited for both the individual and in group settings.  It is clear that Tim understands the benefit of community in all phases of recovery and this book provides a great framework upon which that community can be built.”

Luke Challis, Agency Relations Coordinator at New Hampshire Food Bank

Break Every Yoke

“Tim has been on the front lines for many years, he has many stories of God’s deliverance in so many lives; his teaching is compassionate, practical, no-nonsense, and easy to understand. I wholeheartedly recommend this book as a tool to orient and equip God’s people to set captives free.”

Dick Kiernan, Director of The Good Samaritan Network

Rebuilding Your Life

“I am a person in long-term recovery from drug and alcohol addiction, and I can heartily endorse the suggestions Tim makes.  Each chapter is divided in two, with the first part a Biblical argument for the second.  What impreses me more is each chapter’s second half, the Action Plan portion. Every single suggestion Tim makes for the newly housed, the newly freed or the newly recovered makes practical sense.

Keith Howard, Executive Director of Hope for New Hampshire Recovery
